Below is a sneak peak of our project on Rockmoor Ave in Tarrytown:
The existing home was in excellent condition, however the space was broken up into several small rooms. Our clients wanted an open concept home, with timeless finishes, allowing this to be their “forever home”.
All of the existing ceilings were 8′ tall. We were able to raise the roof and ceiling to allow for 10′ ceilings in the main living area. A large fireplace between the formal living and family room was removed to combine the space into an open living and dining room. Large steel windows and doors connect the living room to the outdoor living spaces.
The kitchen was reconfigured to allow for access to the outdoor entertaining space. In addition, additional storage, updated appliances and an entertaining area with wetbar was added. Walnut cabinets and a limestone countertop and backsplash are timeless finishes.
A wing with 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and a family room was added. In addition, the remaining bedrooms and bathrooms were reconfigured to allow for a more modern flow.
